Kidney care in Tabriz, planned from wherever you are.
If you live outside Iran, you can gather your kidney test results, scan reports and medicine list before you travel, so that Dr. Majidi's team knows your situation and what to expect.
Before you travel
Please collect what you have. Clear copies are fine to start with, and the trend over time matters more than any single result.
- Creatinine and eGFR results from as many dates as you have, ideally over several months or years, with the date of each
- Urine tests, especially protein or albumin and the albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR)
- Kidney ultrasound or CT reports and, if you have them, the images themselves
- A list of every medicine you take, including painkillers, vitamins, supplements and herbal products, with their names as printed on the packaging
- Blood pressure readings from home, and blood sugar or A1C results if you have diabetes
- Any dialysis or transplant records: dialysis type and schedule, transplant date, and your anti-rejection medicines
- Earlier diagnoses, reports from other specialists and hospital discharge notes
- Your allergies, including any past reaction to contrast dye

Practical questions
Can a diagnosis be made from my records alone?
Not usually. A review of your records helps the doctor understand your situation and say what is likely to be needed, but a diagnosis and treatment plan are made after an examination and, often, repeated tests.
Should I stop or change my medicines before I travel?
No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed and do not stop or change any of them, especially blood pressure medicines, without your own doctor. Bring the list with you.
I am on dialysis or have a transplant. Can I travel?
Please speak to your own kidney team first. Dialysis sessions and anti-rejection medicines must not be interrupted, and travel plans have to fit around them.
I need a scan with contrast dye. What should I do?
Tell the imaging centre that you have kidney disease before any scan that uses contrast dye. See the guide on medicines and contrast dye.
How long would I need to stay in Tabriz?
It depends on which tests and visits you need. Ask the support team once your records have been reviewed.
What languages are available?
The support line and the doctor's profile are in Persian. Whether English is available has not been confirmed, so please do not assume it.
What number do I call in an emergency?
115 is Iran's emergency number. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.
Every patient's treatment plan is different; ask your doctor about your own situation.
